Blueberry and Banana Hemp Smoothie

A simple hemp recipe to tickle your taste buds and get your energy levels up for the morning. Blueberry and Banana is a wonderful combination, and with the added addition of hemp protein and hemp seed (hemp hearts) - you will certainly get all the nutrients you need for the morning to get you going!


In this hemp recipe, I have added a good quantity of New Zealand hemp hearts in the mix to bring up the omega level in this yummy hemp smoothie. The omega level drops when the hemp protein is produced therefore I feel it important to bring that level back up so you get a full nutritional boost.

Here is the delicious and simple hemp smoothie recipe:-


2 Tbsp (30g) of NZ Premium Hemp Hearts

1 Banana

1/2 Cup of Blueberries

300ml Almond Milk

(extra hemp hearts for the top and optional freeze-dried raspberries)


Whizz it all up for 30-60 seconds and add more lashings of hemp hearts - simple!!

This recipe contains 30g of hemp hearts which is my recommendation for one serve in our smoothie mixes that use the hemp protein as a base. 30g of hemp hearts gives you approximately 9.39g of protein and 30g of our hemp protein is around 20g of protein, combined, this is around 30g of protein which is a good amount of your daily intake (depending on your weight). Science suggests that average person needs between 0.5 - 1 gram of protein per kilogram of weight.
